Horror, anger, shame, regret
Each one filled that moment, yet
Time and again, I think of her or him
Eyes get wet, the soul feels dim

Owlette flies through night skies
Proudly herself, hear her cries
Then came the cage, locked up tight
The first to fall, but remembered light

A path well hidden, she could find
In every memory, nothing but kind
When first threats came, she did act
The pain still stings, my horrid tact

Goatforsaken, what did it mean?
Only she could say, no one had seen
Knew of magic, maybe more
On pure white wings, she now doth soar

The lion’s roar, a sound not heard
The predator, him? It seems absurd
His love in danger, a convenient prey
He prepared us then, we must not stray

An infant boss, it sounds correct
No kind of smile, nor sign respect
Conflict avoidable, the greatest of ease
One simple word, the use of please

A callous kid, though not alone
Despite his tact, his kindness shown
One life saved, a roll of luck
I’ll state it clear, he did not suck

Mum, Dad, Dolly, and Everyone Back Home,

This isn't a letter saying I'm dead or anything, promise. I just need to talk about some things that have happened while I've been away, let's say.

First things first, I really hope you're all okay. I know someone is, despite missing her favorite skateboard (does it count as a favorite when you only have the one?), but something came up at one point. Got worried about whether or not everyone else was safe. If you are, feel free to just say I was being silly or ridiculous or something-in my defense, if you were seeing some of the stuff I've seen, you'd be scared too. Cruella That woman is insane and a demon of a human, but at least she doesn't have pyrokinesis!

And about that person in particular. Hunter, the apparent great nephew of her's I'm not sure what to make of him anymore. I still don't like him-for crying out loud, he's terrorized our family! But something about what he says is not right. He doesn't seem to know about her past, or at least not how she tried with our family before. He might not actually know how a fur coat is made, which might be more of an intelligence thing than anything, but still weird that he's never learned. When I ended up trapping him in a shipping container, he was stuck there for months, with only his return being when he got let out. Did she really just leave him in there? For six months?

I don't know anymore. It's all so complicated, I feel like my head will explode. But the main thing I guess I should say about him is that he might not be just as bad as her. He even offered to call the cops on her when we get back, should we both get back. I'm not saying to trust him entirely, I'm starting to wonder if I should question what humans I think could be cool or nice. But maybe don't be immediately hostile to him.

What else. I've made some friends, not all the best. I've seen things, most of which I never want to speak about to anyone but a therapist. Also, confirming a lot of things that seemed impossible-congratulations Dante, magic is real and so are vampires, at least to some degree. I've gotten really close to one of the younger people here, a bat named Adorabat, to the point that I can't help but see her as another member of the family. Don't worry, this isn't a literal thing, she has her own family back in her own home to go to. Just feels good to have someone you know you can trust.

Though, about bringing someone into the family. I know, I know, it didn't work out with Mr. Fuzzy, but here's the thing: there's a human I've met named Yasu that needs help. She lives with an orphanage that makes her a maid, with unfair treatment from some coworkers and things I do not have the right to talk about, let alone want to talk about. I worry about whether or not she may be downplaying some things, or misremembering them, or just plain being young to remember things at the time. I know it's a lot to ask, but I need to do something to get her out of that situation. If it's taking her in, I'll do all the house chores for a year. If we just get some help from Pearl and finding her a place to stay, I'll do all the house chores for the rest of the year. Just please let me do something to help her! Please!

That's all that I can think to say right now. I'm probably just giving this letter to you all after disappearing for so long. I'm not sure if I could word anything better than I did like this. Everything's just been insane. I'll just end things simply for now.

I Love You All, Dylan

Oh, P.S. I met Sonic the Hedgehog. Yes, the Sonic the Hedgehog. Real hedgehog, actually really cool. I am ready to hear your jealous screams of rage Dolly! >:]

-Magic is real, or at least real in other worlds.
-Vampires are real, or again, at least real in other worlds.
-Some animals from other worlds are just...wrong. Don't talk when you try to talk with them, only meows or barks or hoots or whatever stereotypical animal sound you might expect.
-Just because humans can understand you, doesn't mean they'll be smart, or better people than you'd expect. Reika seemed nice, Edward seemed cool, and Valmont was annoying but seemed harm mostly harmless. They all tried to kill.
-Some humans are still good, despite it all. Anya seems sweet, Emma seems sane, Yasu is a genius, and Ava is really cool(really hope the profiles are lying about the grave robbing). Try to protect them and the others as much as possible.
-Keep an eye on concerning humans. Yasu's life before here still sounds horrific, need to figure out if Hunter really doesn't know how a fur coat is made, and Jeanne's...everything is still abuse. And figure out why Carrie was trying to justify it, what the Hell is going on with her life?
-Animals that are also students are still sane, despite some issues. Feels like I'm going to get an aneurism from the stress and thoughts I have about things, but I know I'll live.
-Make poetry to vent frustrations and remember who's gone. Even if they're not good people, they deserve some sense of being remembered.
-Owlbert is a palisman, different from Valmont's talisman. Living wood carving that can turn into a staff-meant to fly? Also made by witches. Information attained by asking Owlbert questions.
-Learn about magic if only to identify what could be magic and what can actually be explained with science and logic.
-Suggest using a spirit board to the group, if it works we can talk to the dead, if not we just look stupid. Very worst option, we find out if Father really is a demon and stop wondering if this Hell or not. (Thank you Dante for letting me know these are things that exist.)
-Talk to Dawkins about Multiverse Theory, see if it's possible to meet PoodleWolf in person.

Things Looking To Be Rid Of:
Skip It: You think these are hard with just two legs? Try having four. Just asking to trip and hurt himself.
(3/5ths of a) Full Outfit: Most of this is way too big for him to wear, why does this machine keep giving a dog clothes, what is this insanity.
Butterfly Net: This may be a nerdy dog, but entomology is not his thing. Goes to the first person who wants it.
Skip It (x2): Why does it give him another.
Nutcracker: Doesn't hate it, but sees no use for it. Free for someone else to take.
Picture of a Peach: Never redeemed, had no interest in getting it.
Pipe: Would be perfect for Detective Dylan, but...that interest went away once murders were the mystery forced upon him.
Unlucky Twenty-Sided Die: He already has one, doesn't need another.
'Big Brother' Picture: ...no. Just...no.
Empty Curry Cola: Also not redeemed, this soda sounds awful.
Best Student Pin: This is validation he does not want, thank you very much.
Peach: Don't want peach, perfectly fine with other food, thank you.
The Fuzzbuzz: ...give it to Adorabat, she likes creepy things...
Coffee: STOP. GIVING. THE DOG. POISONOUS THINGS. FOR DOGS.
1Up Can: Do not like soda, literally anyone else will want it more, most likely.
Ring Pop: Again? Really? Didn't want it the first time, same story the second time.

Things To Be Kept:
Rana Rabbit: A black plush rabbit, Dylan uses she/her pronouns for this rabbit.
Rigel Rabbit: Another black rabbit plush, he/him pronouns are used for this one.
Betelgeuse the Budegg (TM): Hanging from Dylan's collar, it should grow up big and strong in his care.
Sunglasses: It makes him feel cool, let him feel cool.
Rabbit Talisman: The glow is weird, but hey! This looks like it could be an artifact of some kind! Hello archeological discovery!
(2/5ths of a) Full Outfit: Admittedly, the wallet chain is pretty cool, as well as the cloak, even if he has to be careful to not step on it when walking-BUT HE CAN DO IT, HE WILL TRY!
Yellow Shirt: On one paw, he is not wearing a shirt made for a dog, this thing is so difficult to get on that just thinking about it gives him a headache. On the other paw, if anyone wants this he will be severely creeped out.
Combat Knife: The machine gave Adorabat a combat knife, what was Dylan supposed to do-not confiscate it?
Portable Planetarium: Dylan's new favorite object, definitely spends at least half an hour each day-maybe more-staring up at the false stars.
"Space Helmet": Found in Edward's room. Dylan will never lose this again if he can help it.
Skateboard: Dolly's skateboard, from the second motive gift boxes. Hidden under his bed, to be returned when he can see his sister again.
Lucky Twenty-Sided Die: Landed on a natural 20! Has to be a good sign!
Shark-Tooth Necklace: Another thing that makes him feel cool, let him feel cool!
Sketchbook: A's sketchbook! Had any doubts about being here since January? Well, here's some proof. Also hidden under the bed, don't want getting confiscated!
Broken Hearts, Big Plans: A paperback romance novel. Dylan does not like it, only keeping it under the bed because the Principal probably hates it, and this is one of the few teenage rebellion things he can allow himself to do.
Dark Angel Wings: Maybe Dante would like it? Or Portia...but probably to Dante.
Deck of Cards: Could try to learn a card trick? There's worse things to do for entertainment...
Pure Gold Bar: The Dalmatian family is getting gourmet kibble!!!
Yellow Raincoat: When you live in London, you don't say no to a raincoat.
Stolen Notebook: Maybe he should return it...but hey, maybe something useful could be made from this when he gets back home!
Axe: HOW DID THIS EVEN FIT IN A VENDING MACHINE LIKE HELL IS HE RISKING ANYONE ELSE ACTUALLY USING IT-
Butterfly Knife: how many weapons are in this machine NONE OF IT LEAVES HIS ROOM IF IT STOPS A MURDER!
Bear Trap: See previous statement.
Sidewalk Chalk: Da Vinci usually works with paint, but maybe she'll like this?
Homecoming Dress: ...dress...for a dog...he is convinced anyone that would take this is a danger to anyone and everyone.
Palismen Egg: Owlbert says it's Luz's. It...it should get the chance to grow up, right? Sitting on a pillow, wrapped up in blankets, on top of his bed.
Dumpling Stress Ball: Actual chew toy. And thus has some teeth marks on it. Pups will probably like it, at least.
Kibble: HE DODGED IT! HE DID NOT GET KIBBLE-D, FATE DID NOT WIN THIS TIME!
Ribbons: Triple D might like them, though we'll have to find a third so they don't fight over who doesn't get one...
Sickle: so...many...weapons...WHY?!?

Things Already Gotten Rid Of:
Shamash: NOT A CHEW TOY, I REPEAT, NOT A CHEW TOY!
Backpack: Nice smell, but if it's someone else's then it's only good to return it.
Power Ring (x2): How many of these are in the machine? And how many of Sonic's things is he going to get?
Keytar: Finally went to the right person, thank dog he doesn't have to drag it anywhere ever again.
Bag of Coffee: Taken by Hunter because of the blood stain on it. Dylan is just happy to no longer have to look at it.
Ring Pop: Donated to the food pile to be rationed out.
UniCORN: Donated to the food pile to be rationed out.
Curry Cola (x2): Donated to the food pile to be rationed out.
Cat Treats: Donated to the food pile to be rationed out.
Kibble (x3): Taken from the rooms of Reika and Edward. Donated to the food pile to be rationed out.
Pins: Returned to Fret. Shame, they looked kinda cool. At the very least one of them did.
Boy's Winged Hoodie: He...he could tell the size of the jacket. It's in Yuta's room, laying on his bed.
